Also known as Arin Berd, the Erebuni Fortress actually is the remains of an ancient city. The kingdom of Urartu happens to be the era when this city was in its prime. The Fortress of Erebuni was one of the most significant political, economic and cultural centers of that time in the respective kingdom.
If you visit the fort today, it will be a treat in itself. The reason, this fortress is now transformed into a museum that is a hub for the ancient artifacts and memoirs.
